Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko competes as Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thailand fighter for the UFC's flyweight division. Valentina is her younger sister, and also a UFC participant. Antonina Shevchenko's career in combat sports started in the form of an Muay Thai fighter. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title after which she defeated Suzane Mller with a majority vote. Antonina won a medal of silver in 2007 followed by an award of bronze in 2008 and a medal gold in 2011. She was also crowned IFMA World Amateur Muaythai Champion 2016 by the IFMA. Antonia's professional debut came in 2003. She won in 2012 her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship and in 2016 the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016 the WMC World Championships. Antonina's last fight was at the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. The winner was a an unanimous vote. Antonina shevchenko recorded her first professional MMA fight in 2002 with Anara bayanova, who was fighting at the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan. She was victorious with a TKO after round 2 and the two subsequent matches were held in WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko took a hiatus to concentrate on the sport of kickboxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui at Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko was able to defeat Anissa in a unanimous decision and beat Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in the year 2017. She left the promotion in 2018 to join Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina defeated Nievera by her impressive striking ability in the final clinch with knees placed on her body. Antonina's UFC contract was re-extended in the wake of this win. Antonina Shevchenko made her debut in UFC in The TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting match against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi by a split-decision fight after winning the first fight via an unanimous decision. Antonina bounced right back after the defeat and beat Lucie Pudddilova on UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission during the second round. The fight was awarded Antonina the Fight of the Night bonus. Shevchenko was defeated by Katlyn along with Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She won over Ariane Lipski, and also defeated Ariane. Antonina lost to Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO during UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
